Este otoño, Daniella será estudiante de último año en Syosset High School. A ella le gusta estudiar la lengua y la cultura Españolas y tomará Español AP el próximo año escolar. Además de estar interesada en estudiar educación en el futuro, a Daniella también le encanta bailar, crear arte y pasar tiempo con sus amigos. ¡Ella está emocionada de enseñar inglés en El Centro y no puede esperar para un verano fantástico!

This fall, Daniella will be a senior at Syosset High School. She likes to study the Spanish language and culture and will be taking AP Spanish this upcoming school year. In addition to being interested in perusing education in the future, Daniella also loves to dance, create art and hang out with her friends. She is excited to teach English at El Centro and cannot wait to have a great summer! 

Reyna Panjvani

Este otoño, Reyna cursará el último año de la preparatoria Syosset y tomará SUPA Spanish. A Reyna le encanta trabajar con niños y le interesa la fisioterapia. Este verano, espera ayudar a los niños a mejorar su inglés y facilitar su crecimiento.

This fall, Reyna will be a senior at Syosset high school and will be taking SUPA Spanish. Reyna loves working with kids and is interested in physical therapy. This summer, she hopes to help improve kids English and facilitate their growth!

Julia Elmoraly

Este otoño, Julia será estudiante de último año en Syosset High School. Le encanta contribuir con su comunidad y está emocionada de tomar Lengua y Literatura Españolas (AP) para fortalecer su capacidad de conectar con los demás. Fuera de la escuela, es deportista y disfruta tocando música, estando al aire libre y pasando tiempo con amigos y familiares. ¡Está deseando enseñar inglés a los niños de El Centro y está emocionada de crecer con todos!

This fall, Julia will be a senior at Syosset High School. She loves contributing to her community and is excited to take AP Spanish Language and Literature to strengthen her ability to connect with others. Outside of school, she is an athlete and enjoys playing music, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. She looks forward to teaching English to children at El Centro and is excited to grow with everyone!

Thomas Landon

Este otoño, Thomas cursará el penúltimo año de secundaria en la preparatoria Manhasset. Ha trabajado en El Centro desde niño, primero como ayudante estudiantil en las clases para niños de Deer Park y Brentwood, y luego trabajando para abrir Port Washington como una nueva sede en el verano de 2023. Ha colaborado en Port Washington desde el principio con los niños (2023) y los principiantes (2024). Thomas será profesor de la clase de Principiante 1 y ¡está deseando dar clases en El Centro este verano!

This fall, Thomas will be a junior at Manhasset High School. He has been with El Centro since he was a child, first as a student helper in kids’ classes at Deer Park and Brentwood, then working to open Port Washington as a new location in the summer of 2023. He has helped at Port Washington since the beginning with the kids (2023) and beginners (2024). Thomas will be a teacher for the Beginner 1 class, and can’t wait to teach at El Centro this summer!

Katerina Paxinos

Este otoño, Katerina comenzará su último año en Syosset High School.  A lo largo de la escuela secundaria, le ha encantado sumergirse en la lengua y la cultura españolas, ¡aunque también habla griego en casa!  Le apasiona el medio ambiente, así como la comunicación y la oratoria.    Durante su tiempo libre le encanta escuchar música, ir a conciertos y pasar tiempo con amigos y familia.  ¡No puede esperar para enseñar en El Centro este verano!

This Fall, Katerina will start her senior year at Syosset High School. Throughout high school, she has loved immersing herself in Spanish Language and Culture, though she also speaks Greek at home! She is passionate about the environment, and well as communication and public speaking. During her free time, she loves listening to music, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family. She cannot wait to teach at El Centro this summer!

Lily Ke

Este otoño en Syosset High School, Lily comenzará su último año y tomará Español AP, ya que conectarse con los demás es un amor para ella. Además, le apasionan muchas formas de arte como la danza, las artes visuales y la escritura. En su tiempo libre, ella le gustan dibujar, está en su estudio de ballet o con sus perros. Está más que emocionada y agradecida por esta oportunidad de ayudar a otros a crecer y crear más bondad en este mundo.

This fall at Syosset High School, Lily will be entering her final year and will take AP Spanish as connecting with others is a love of hers. As well, she has a passion for many forms of the arts like dance, visual arts, and writing. In her free time, she can be found drawing, at her ballet studio or with her dogs. She is beyond excited and grateful for this opportunity to help others grow and create more kindness in this world.

Nico Turcinovic

Este otoño, Nicolo Turcinovic comenzará su último año en Syosset High School. Impulsado por una pasión por el idioma y la cultura españolas, está matriculado en Español AP. A Nicolo le gusta cocinar, hacer jardinería y pasar tiempo con amigos. Con un gran interés en la medicina y en ayudar a los demás, también se está capacitando para convertirse en técnico de emergencias médicas y planea un futuro en la medicina. Está emocionado de traer sus experiencias y entusiasmo a El Centro.

This fall, Nicolo Turcinovic will begin his senior year at Syosset High School. Driven by a passion for Spanish language and culture, he is currently enrolled in AP Spanish. Nicolo enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with friends. With a strong interest in medicine and helping others, he is also training to become an EMT and plans a future in medicine. He is excited to bring his experiences and enthusiasm to El Centro.

Este otoño, Raheel Nabi será estudiante de último año en Syosset High School. Está interesado en aprender el idioma y la cultura española y se inscribirá en español AP en la escuela. En su tiempo libre, a Raheel le gusta hacer senderismo, salir con amigos, practicar deportes y escuchar música. ¡Está ansioso por enseñar inglés en El Centro y tener un impacto positivo en la vida de las personas!

This fall, Raheel Nabi will be a senior at Syosset High School. He is interested in learning the Spanish language and cultures, and will be enrolled in AP Spanish in school. In his free time, Raheel likes to go hiking, hang out with friends, play sports, and listen to music. He can’t wait to teach English at El Centro and make a positive impact in people’s lives!

Este año, Kara será estudiante de último año en Syosset High School. Le gusta aprender historia y viajar, especialmente visitar edificios antiguos. Además de aprender español, Kara también aprende chino continuamente. Le gusta competir en clubes como el debate y el Ethics Bowl. Kara espera que estos idiomas y habilidades la ayuden a encontrar un trabajo en educación y derecho. ¡Está muy emocionada por la oportunidad de enseñar en El Centro este verano!

This year, Kara will be a senior in high school. She enjoys learning history and traveling- especially visiting ancient buildings.  In addition to learning Spanish, Kara is also continuously learning Chinese. She enjoys competing in clubs like debate and Ethics Bowl. Kara hopes these languages and skills  will help her find a career in education and law. She is very excited for the opportunity to teach at El Centro this summer!

Este otoño, Sumi será estudiante de último año en Syosset High School. Le encanta explorar diferentes culturas y tomará clases de español AP este próximo año escolar. Sumi está interesado en la ley de inmigración. En su tiempo libre, le gusta escuchar música, salir con amigos y salir a caminar. ¡Le encanta aprender de diferentes personas y no puede esperar para enseñar en El Centro!

This fall, Sumi Shah will be entering her senior year of high school at Syosset High School. She loves exploring different cultures and will be taking AP Spanish as well as law classes this coming school year. Sumi is interested in immigration law. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, hanging out with friends, and going on walks. She loves learning from different people and can’t wait to teach at El Centro!
